History

As the first restaurant in Switzerland, the restaurant Commercio included the Spaghetti-Plausch (pot of spaghetti with various sauces for 3 or more) into their menu.
 
The current restaurant Commercio including a bar has been located at Mühlebachstrasse 2 since 1973. The interior originates from the former Commercio bar at Schützengasse street (1919), which today is still considered Zurich's oldest standing bar. The outside terrace with set tables is open all year round.
 
The Arthouse Commercio, the smallest cinema of Switzerland with 49 seats, is integrated into the restaurant. The passage to the cinema is possible via the restaurant only.
