In the middle of it all but quietly situated. Between the old town houses of the dreamy Nägelihof everyone is thinking about: Am I in Provence? Almost, you are in the Mère Catherine, the restaurant with the provencal charm and the recipes from there. And because the registry office is just above the Limmat, you can celebrate your wedding so close on the gallery. Or should it be a business meeting in the "Salon"?
The menu offers seasonal specialities as well as classic provencal dishes, and we attach great importance to regional products. A rich fish offer, meat in many variations as well as purely vegetarian creations. The cheeses and desserts are heavenly! All accompanied by wines and spirits. From Tuesday to Friday we serve a lunch menu with fish, meat and vegetarian dishes.
Our house wines are from Provence
The cooperative winery Les Vignerons du Roy René was founded in 1922 by Jules Reynaud, mayor of Lambesc. King René I. Count of Anjou contributed to the naming of the cooperative. Lambesc is located not far from the university town of Aix-en-Provence, in the Provence- Alpes-Côte d Azur region of southern France. The cooperative counts 120 winegrowers who cultivate their vineyards with dedication and achieve excellent results under controlled cultivation. Because of the mediterranean climate and state-of-the-art vinification, the wines of Les Vignerons du Roy René are highly appreciated in the region and in various export markets in Europe and overseas.
