The Pepito came to Switzerland by way of Argentina, and its success story goes back to 1980 when it was first served up in Niederdorf. In 2011 the sandwich was handed across the counter in Niederdorf for the last time. But in 2012 it made a comeback at its new location: on the Collana Bar e Caffè’s takeaway menu. Imitators don’t stand a chance: the sandwich’s name and recipe have been copyright protected in Switzerland since 1997.
Beef, pulled beef, chicken, roastbeef or vegan
Have you tried the original Pepito? Juicy prime rib steak, sliced onions and spicy Pepito sauce (a secret recipe!), served on a crisp baguette. The Pepito is also available with pulled beef, chicken or roastbeef, in a vegan version or as a burger. Students can get the Pepito as a “studi-lunch” complete with a soft drink. Our takeaway menu also features panini caldi, our hot panini sandwiches, pasta dishes and salads, with a variety of drinks.
